#CPPS♥CARES2 Food Drive

College Place Public Schools will again host a food drive to support families in need in College Place. In partnership with Eden’s Pantry, which is located on the campus at Walla Walla University, the district is looking to serve the community by filling the shelves at the pantry to support those in need at this difficult time.

“As we saw in May when we did our first drive, there is so much need in our community and there are also so many who want to give.  Our district will again work to be the conduit to help match our community’s generosity with its deep need.  We are all in this together and College Place Public Schools will continue to look for ways to serve our community that gives us so much,” stated Jim Fry, Superintendent College Place Public Schools.

CPPS and community volunteers will be dropping off donation bags at homes from Monday, November 30 through December 2nd. Community Members are asked to fill the bags with non-perishable items and these same volunteers will be back out on Sunday, December 6th to pick up food donations left on front porches of homes in College Place from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 pm.

There will also be two drop off sites Andy’s Market and Wal-Mart in College Place where people can donate on Sunday, December 6th from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. For those wishing to make a charitable donation, they can do so by visiting www.CPPS.org

High priority items include canned chili, canned soups, canned fruits, canned vegetables, dry cereal, pasta, nuts, nut butters, canned meats, canned sauces, pancake and waffle mixes.

On Thursday, December 10th, Eden’s Pantry (212 SW 4th St. College Place) will be open from 9:00 am -3:00 pm (or until supplies run out) for anyone and everyone to pick up a CPPS Cares Package. These “care packages” will be filled with healthy food options for individuals and families.
