College Place Public Schools will welcome students back virtually into a full online environment on September 8, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. Following guidelines from the state office and the Washington Department of Health CPPS will begin in this model. CPPS will be in this full remote mode through at least October 16th and will reevaluate the conditions with a planned "AM/PM Hybrid Model" return for October 19th. But, that return date will be based on Walla Walla County conditions. If at that time they are not favorable, full remote will continue.
CPPS has created a thoughtful "Return to School Plan" that considers the guidelines and lays out what our return will look like. That plan can be found HERE.
It is with a great deal of care for our community and our students that we continue to navigate these complex situations to provide the very best in education. Along with these three modes of opening (Full, Hybrid, Remote), CPPS is offering a full-time remote learning option for any student wishing to remain offsite 100% for the 2020-2021 school year. This program will be personalized by instruction from the excellent teachers of College Place Public Schools.
In closing, we realize that these are challenging times and there are a lot of things on which to disagree. One thing we can absolutely agree on is that we need to do the very best for the children of College Place. CPPS is committed to doing just that!
