Last night, the Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce honored the best of the best for 2019.
At the 137th Annual Chamber Banquet, two of our College Place Public School staff members were awarded with top honors.
Mr. Donald Ponds was awarded Educator of the Year for his hard work, focus and dedication to his students both in the classroom and on the football field. Mr Ponds work with disabled students was a key highlight of his award.
In addition, Officer Joey Langlois, was honored with the Nick Henzel Law Enforcement Officer of the Year.
Officer Joey, as most kids call him, was given many accolades for his ability to build relationships with all of our CPPS students, create reward systems with lunch from McDonalds, and his heart for assisting staff members in need.
These awards just highlight the amazing staff that we have at CPPS and the culture of caring that exists.
We want to congratulate both Mr. Ponds and Officer Joey for making College Place Public Schools a great place for kids!
