Hawks Name New Head Football Coach

College Place Name Jeff Bartlow as Next Hawks Head Football Coach

Jeff Bartlow will take over the reins for the Hawks quickly improving and growing Football program, and be the second ever Varsity Head Coach for College Place HS. Jeff will also be a full-time PE/Weights, and Health teacher at the high school. The hire is currently pending school board approval.

Coach Bartlow comes with a vast experience and has taught Health and Fitness for over 15 years and more recently, served as a Counselor at Pioneer Middle School. As a coach, Jeff has had unparalleled success as he was the head coach for over 15 years at Waitsburg High School.  In 2011, WHS was able to raise the trophy as state champions to culminate that successful season. Jeff is excited to take over an improving program for the Hawks and help take it to the next level!  

Jeff brings a passion and enthusiasm for working with kids on and off the field and has left a legacy at every school in which he has worked. He is well known throughout the community for his heart for helping students and athletes as well as his incredible work ethic. His impact on young people through the classroom and the field is exciting for the future of College Place High School. 

Former Hawks Head Coach Donald Ponds stated, “I’m excited to watch this program grow under Coach Bartlow, who not only has championship pedigree, but is a genuinely good person who cares about the well-being of his students and athletes.”

Coach Bartlow regarding the new coaching job, “It is great to be back at the varsity level after a break from high school football for the past 6 years. The break was needed, it helped me recharge and I am looking forward to taking on the challenge of growing the football program here at CPHS. I am excited to meet the staff and student body of College Place and to help build a winning culture. I am very grateful for this new opportunity. GO HAWKS!”

College Place High School Principal Robert Aguilar added, “We are extremely excited to welcome Coach Bartlow to the Hawk family.  He is an incredible educator, coach, and even better advocate for kids.”
