THAN K YOU COACH PONDS!

Head Football Coach Donald Ponds is the foundational coach for the Football program at College Place High School. In his time here he has built a football program from scratch that reflects a family and team first attitude and atmosphere.  His leadership and guidance is a great example for all of College Place High School’s programs. He leads with passion, heart and care for others all while being a fierce competitor and family man!

Coach Ponds is not leaving us, just stepping away from the Football program as he takes his leadership in new directions for the College Place community. While we will miss him on Friday nights, we will see him every day on campus, at events and in the community doing his great work!

THANK YOU COACH PONDS FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO IN CP!

A message from Coach Ponds:

It is bittersweet to pen my letter of resignation as the Head Football Coach of College Place Football. Together with my coaching staff, I am proud to have built a competitive football program from the ground up at CPHS. My position as head coach of an emerging high school football program has given me perspective of what it means to put in hard work with grit and determination.

Leading young men as a mentor and coach has been my privilege. I want to thank my athletes past and present for their contribution to a growing football program. Their footprint will leave a legacy for future Hawks. I am also grateful for the parents, Booster, and administrative backing who have supported my endeavors at CPHS.

I look forward to continuing as a forever fan and long-term supporter of Hawk Football. Thank you for the wonderful opportunity of leading College Place Football.

Sincerely,

Donald Ponds
