CPHS Athletics Season One Begins on February 8!

CPHS Hawks Season One (Fall Sports) begins on Monday, February 8!

\r\n

See below for specific practice times, locations, and information.

\r\n

Remember that all athletes must be fully signed up for athletics on Final Forms. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Derting at jderting@cpps.org

\r\n

*All sports require athletes, coaches, and officials to wear masks at all times, including practices and competitions.

\r\n

The new metrics and guidelines on moving to phase 2 make the possibility very real that we could have competitions for all fall sports starting right away, we know XC meets will happen in phase 1! There are a minimum number of practices requirements in order to participate in competitions, so please plan to be present on day one to be on track to meet those requirements!

More Season Dates and Information:

\r\n

As a league and school we will still work in accordance with the WIAA Healthy WA Sport and Activity Guidelines. Sports season start and end dates are set and will not change in the SCAC. If competitions are not allowed for a sport due to the Healthy Washington DOH Regional Phase status, then practices will continue in hopes of competitions in phase 2. A season could start and end without any competitions if phase 2 is not achieved. An exception is Cross Country, as they may compete in phase 1 as a low risk outdoor sport. Some sports, like wrestling and basketball, are indoors and high risk, so we are awaiting more guidance from the state regarding the parameters they have to meet in order to have competitions. See sports specific WIAA guidelines here.
