CPHS Athletes and Families,
\r\nWe are excited to resume some optional out of season athletic training and some sport specific practices and training at CPHS beginning the week of Jan. 19, 2021. These opportunities will work in accordance with the State Department of Health and the latest WIAA Healthy Washington Return to Athletics.
\r\nOne extremely important requirement to understand is masks that cover the mouth and nose are required and will be worn at all times per the Governor's order and Washington State DOH guidelines. This includes during strenuous activities related to sports competitions and practices.
\r\nPlease review the CPHS Safe Return to Sports Expectations and Guidelines (SPANISH / ENGLISH) before your student athlete participates.
\r\nI would really encourage any athletes hoping to participate in future seasons to attend these optional training and practice opportunities! Our goal is to get athletes training and back in playing shape to help build up endurance, strength and speed to help prevent injuries and also to help athletes get used to participating while wearing masks.
\r\nA reminder to please bring your own labeled water bottle each day to practice with your mask and be sure to dress in appropriate footwear and multiple layers for outdoor sports!
