In a special event yesterday at College Place High School, graduating senior Davis Fry confirmed his commitment to play football at the University of Idaho next year. Davis has made a “grayshirt” commitment as he will enroll part time at U of I in the fall and join the team on scholarship in January 2023. “Grayshirting” has become a common practice at the college level where student-athletes enroll after the completion of the season allowing them to have five years of schooling with four years of athletic eligibility. Davis thanked his coaches, family, and teammates for always pushing him and allowing him to achieve his dream of playing football at the collegiate level. Joining in the celebration were Davis’ teammates, coaches, CPHS staff, and family members.
