Hawks Soar and FBLA Regional Competition!

Student members of the College Place High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter competed in the virtual regional competition for SE Washington FBLA on January 30-February 12. FBLA is the premier organization for student leaders preparing for careers in business, management, entrepreneurship, and technology. It offers students an opportunity to compete in up to 94 different events across high school and middle school grades.

“Because this was a virtual competition, the total numbers of competitors was admittedly down” FBLA adviser Scott Reardon offered. “But that in no way diminishes the quality of performance from our Hawk competitors. From what I saw of their efforts, there is a good chance that many of them will do well at the upcoming state conference.”

The following students placed in the top six of their various events:

Ryan Bjornberg: Public Service Announcement (1st)

Mayra Campa:  Business Ethics (Team) (1st)

Huston Gallaway: Computer Problem Solving (5th), Cyber Security (3rd)

Cristal Ibarra: Business Ethics (Team) (1st), Client Service (4th)

Sam Mitsourov: Computer Applications (2nd),Word Processing (1st)

Emma Ohler: Client Service (2nd), Introduction to Business (2nd)

Ian Scholl: Health Care Administration (3rd)

Tiana Tran: Introduction to Business Presentation (1st)

Other students who competed were Alex Smith.

Many of the students will be eligible to compete in the virtual state competition this coming April.
