Hawks Represent at State Cross Country!

Saturday was a wonderful day for the CPHS Cross Country Team at the 1A State Meet in Pasco, WA.  It was great to see the CPHS Hawk XC Family there in support of our four state qualifiers, Kenneth Rooks, Karissa Stubblefield, Drew Adams, and Melia Loe!  All of that wonderful support helped them push their way to Personal Records in their respective Races.

Kenneth Rooks brought home the State Title for the second time in 3 years with a dominant performance, winning his race by nearly 17 seconds for a time of 15:18 and leading wire to wire.  Drew Adams willed his way to a time of 17:03 and placed 45th in his first ever trip to the State XC Meet!

Melia Loe Returned to State for a second straight year, and after an unlucky start pushed herself to  a time of 21:12, and an 80th place finish. Karissa Stubblefield, competing as a Senior in her first State Meet ran a PR of 22:21 to place 122nd.

Way to go Hawks XC, you should all be proud of your wonderful performances! Great job representing you Team, Community, School, and Family!

Go Hawks!
