Emergency Childcare Offering

College Place Public Schools is offering Emergency Childcare for school-age children (Ages 5-12)*for the following: 

  • Health Care Professionals 
  • First Responders 

*If a student is currently registered in our Preschool program we will serve them as well.

Dates March 23- April 24 

Childcare starts Monday, March 23 and runs Monday-Friday until April 24.  There is NO childcare the week of Spring Break, April 6-10.

Important Information to note 
  1. Please plan for at least a 15 minute wait when you are dropping off your student(s).
  2. We will only be allowing one family in the Davis vestibule at a time. You can wait outside of the Davis front doors. Please maintain a 6 foot distance between families to adhere to social distancing.
  3. Drop off is 8:00 am at the Eastside of Davis Elementary School next to Kiwanis Park at the Commons.
  4. Pick up is in the same location at 3:00 pm. See the “Check-In/Check-Out Procedures” for detailed information.
  5. Parent(s) and student(s) temperatures will be taken each day upon arrival. If the child or parent has a temperature or has had a temperature in the last 72 hours or has been given medicine for a temperature in the last 72 hours, they will be unable to participate in our childcare program.
  6. Please send children with their work and/or digital device to do their school work.
  7. We will get students outside in the fresh air as much as possible. Please have them dress appropriately. Pack a hat or sunscreen if needed.
  8. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. You are welcome to pack a snack for your child.
  9. If a child, parent, or childcare worker is sick and is being tested for COVID-19 we will have to shut down our childcare program for a minimum of 14 days (this is per the Department of Health). Please ensure that you have a plan in place for childcare if we do have to close.
