Mac-Hi Wrestling Results

The CPHS Wrestling team competed in an invitational at Mac-Hi on Saturday, December 15.  Though not all team members were present, due to illness, they still found a way to compete and fight with the bigger schools.

Dallin Hawkins went 2-2 placing 4th, despite battling sickness this week, showing his determination and desire to compete for himself and the team.

Tice Hiner went 2-2 and placed 4th in one of the toughest weight classes and is really starting to turn the corner as a first year wrestler.

Jackson Britton and Landon Davis both went 0-2, but wrestled well and gave it their best efforts.

Joel Brown went 3-1, making it to the championship match and came up just short to take home the title. Joel had a great tournament and is improving every day.

Alex Smith went 4-0 to become the first ever CPHS tournament champion. Alex had been in the Championship Match in the last two tournaments and to finally pull the win was awesome. Alex is on the right track to get to state and is working hard every day.

Edi Preciado went 1-2 placing 6th with a great throw to win his match, showing his strength and determination.  Edi is another first year wrestler who should be in the mix in the post season.

The CPHS Wrestling team next takes on a Mix and Match at Pomeroy on Tuesday, December 18.
