#CPPS♥CARES Food Drive

The College Place School District organized a community-wide food drive to support and fill the shelves at Eden’s Pantry in College Place to support those in need at this difficult time.

Over 100 volunteers from the school, Walla Walla University and the community picked up thousands of pounds of food and raised over $5000 in donations to support this food drive effort. “The response from our community was overwhelming. It was such an amazing thing to see car load after car load of food being delivered to Eden’s Pantry.” Stated Jim Fry Superintendent.

The food is being sorted into food care packages that will be available for pick-up on Thursday, May 21 from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm at the Walla Walla University Church located at 212 4th Street in College Place.

For the safety of all, we ask that everyone stay in their car. A volunteer will deliver your care package to you. Each care package will have a variety of food items designed to feed your family such as canned chili, pasta, cereal, nut butters and pancake mix as well as fresh items like bread and milk.

We want to thank our College Place community for so generously giving to those in need.
