Sager students honoring the CPPS School Board

The staff and students were out in full force to send a message of gratitude and appreciation to the CPPS School Board last night at the School Board meeting.

January is National School Board Recognition Month. 2020 marks the 25th year of this annual observance which was initiated by the National School Board Association.

Principals, schools and students showed their appreciation to the Board in many ways at last night's meeting.

College Place High School Culinary students provided tasty and delicious appetizers and desserts they had prepared for the Board.

The Davis Elementary FIRE Team students presented personal messages of their appreciation to the Board.

“We appreciate all the time and effort you put in to making College Place Public Schools and Davis Elementary the amazing place it is. We are thankful to have such supportive community leaders, such as yourselves setting policy and making challenging decisions to advance the vision of focusing on kids and our learning.” -Aela Bryant--Davis 5th Grade Student to CPPS Board of Directors

Colorful posters created by Sager Middle school students, and one created by the Elementary Life Skills students were on display for all to see.

And, the newly formed Sager Middle School Latino Club officers introduced themselves and thanked the Board for their approval of the club.

The evening was a wonderful showcase of our students thanking our school board for making CPPS the best place to be for kids!
