Congratulations to both Mr. Donald Ponds and School Resource Officer Joey Langlois for being honored this past week at the Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce Annual Chamber Banquet.

Mr. Ponds was awarded the Educator of the Year award for his tireless work, passion, and dedication to our school, and specifically our students who often struggle academically or emotionally.

Officer Langlois was honored with the Nick Henzel Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. Officer Joey, as most students call him, was given many accolades for his ability to build relationships with all of our CPPS students, create reward systems with lunch from McDonalds, and his heart for assisting staff members in need.

These awards just highlight the amazing staff that we have at College Place High School, and the culture of caring that exists here.

Thank you for being a part of our Hawk family, Mr. Ponds and Officer Langlois!
