Hawks Softball moves on to day two of State for the first time in CPHS history!
\r\nYesterday in round one the Hawks defeated Deer Park by a score of 8-0 to advance in the winners bracket. In round two they took on a very tough Montesano team and fell 1-3 in a very tough and competitive game. The defeat move the Hawks to the consolation bracket where they took on Lakeside in the 3rd game of the day. The Hawks persevered and hung on to win 11-9 and advance to day two.
\r\nToday they will have a chance to fight their way through the bracket for a chance to play in the 3rd/4th place game....it will take three straight victories for the Hawks to secure 3rd place at State. The battle begins with Seattle Christian this morning at 11:00 AM. All games at Columbia Playfields in Richland.
