Congratulations to Hawks Softball on qualifying for 1A State Softball! This is the second time in School History, the Hawks made state in spring of 2017 for the first time.
\r\nLast Saturday CPHS lost a hard fought battle to Royal 7-8 to move into the losers bracket. In the next matchup they defeated Connell 11-0 to secure their ticket to State! Next, they faced Cle-Elum in a battle for 3rd/4th place seeding to state, it took two extra innings and a tied breaker scenario for the Hawks to fall 7-8 to the Warriors in walk off fashion. Hawks Softball earned 4th place in the SCAC District Tournament.
\r\nThe Hawks will now play Deer Park in the first round of the State Tournament. Game is set for 10:00 AM Friday, May 24 at Columbia Playfields in Richland (all games of the tournament will be played at that site).
