Choir 2003-2004

John Sager Choir directed by David Ingersoll and accompanied by Joel Dickerson recieved their 8th blue ribbon "Superior Rating" on March 2nd for their performances of "Jabberwocky" by Daniel Burton, "A Gift to be Simple" a traditional number and "Auf stimmet die Saiten" a 300 year old number written by Dietrich Buxtehude.
The choir competed at the Columbia Basin Music Educators Middle School Choral Festival in Richland Washington against 10 other schools. The judges especially enjoyed the "Auf stimmet" which was accompanied on harpsichord by Joel and flutes by Amanda Hinojosa and Samantha Shaw.

Sager Raider Band 2003-2004

The 42 member Sager Raider band directed by David Ingersoll came back on March 4th with a red ribbon "Excellent Rating" for their performances of "Bunkerhill March", an original Revolutionary War song arranged by John Edmondson and the powerful "Forge of Vulcan" by Michael Sweeney.
They competed against 19 other bands in Kennewick Washington at the CBMEA Middle School Band Festival. The Judges complemented the percussion section as they were the only ones able to play the sight-reading selection all the way through successfully.
