Home Economics is a course meant to give the student hands on experience in the areas of cooking and sewing. Foods prepared will be from each of the food groups. Sewing projects include hand stitching and machine sewing.
Math Course A is working from the Connected Math Curriculum. Our goal this year is to cover 7 different books, studying 6 different math strands. Homework is assigned on Mondays and Wednesdays. Daily work can be seen in the student's math binder. Algebra is offered to the advanced student. Successful completion of this course (A or B) satisfies a High School math credit. The course incorporates the graphing calculator (provided by the school). Students may expect homework at least 3-4 times a week. |
