| History of John Sager Middle School |

| Our school is named for the historical figure John Sager who is closely associated with the history of the Whitman Mission. John Sager was the eldest of 7 children. He and his siblings where orphaned in 1844 and taken in by Marcus and Narcissa Whitman. For a brief factual account of the Sager story click here. |
