Individual classes will have specific supplies needed.  Also, each student will receive an assignment keeper for their notebook.  Information on prices for ASB cards (needed for athletes) as well as the annual will be out soon !

That's right !  we are already planning to see your bright smiling faces next year as we plan a BBQ for Sager students and their families. 

So, grab your fork, bring your appetites and come to Sager Middle School on Monday, August 24 from 5-7pm !

The first day of school is Tuesday, August 25, so this is a perfect time to get a great meal, meet teachers, find your classrooms, and hook up with your friends !

John Sager Middle School Mission Statement

The staff of John Sager Middle School is committed to providing all students with a safe environment where students learn academic and behavioral skills necessary for reaching their fullest potential.

Throughout the year we will emphasize our motto, "Sager Raiders Soar to Excellence." All John Sager Middle School staff will work together with the students to help each other reach their fullest potential. Treating each other with respect and dignity will result in a safe environment for living and learning. Staff will keep students focused on our five school guidelines:

  • R esponsibility comes from you

Bill Varady, principal, leads students in grades7-8 attending John Sager Middle School. Self-contained classes are held from 8:15 AM. to 3:05 PM, with late start occuring every Wednesday at 9:30 AM, exceptions are three Wednesdays in the Spring during WASL.

Certain staff members are shared between buildings, including a Guidance Counselor, Librarian, Band/Choir Instructor, P.E. Teacher, Highly-Capable Teacher, and Special Education Teacher.

Mr. Varady's office is located in the Meadow Brook building, as is the Dean of Students, Lori Sutherland.  Mrs. Fish's office (Sager secretary) is located in the Sager building  in the main office with the District Office staff.  All parents needing to pick up/drop off students, or needing any other assistance with Sager students, are asked to come to the Sager Office.
