Vocabulary

Math :  In my math class we are starting to use fractions, add and subtract fractions, turn fractions to decimals...we have entered the wonderful world of fractions!! Parents, you can help your child by thinking about how you use fractions in your everyday life, ie...cooking, tools(3/4 inch socket), at the store...

Science:  We are beginning the year with a unit on Space and our universe!  Parents please take your child out to look at the stars, discover constellations together, look at the phases of the moon, anything to help your child's understanding of our solar system!

English: We are beginning our school year with a closer look at conventions.  We will be learning how to properly punctuate, spell, and write complete and creative sentences.
