AR
Reading....
Be sure to ask your student
to show you their map of the United States - each 10% of a goal
they earned each quarter allowed them to color in a new state!
The school theme for this
year is "Travel". Students will have opportunity to fill
in a United States map, hopefully "traveling" to all 50
states by the end of the school year as they reach their AR goals.
They also have a world map where they will get to visit one country
each quarter when they meet their goal, and the class has a
"passport" for all the countries we visit as a class!
Please make sure students
are reading 30 minutes each night. If they forget their AR book,
any appropriate reading material around your home also works for
reading practice.

Links!
Feel
free to click on the "links" on the left of this page.
You will find a broad range of web sites students can use to practice
their basic skills such as math, reading, spelling, writing, science,
and social studies.
NEW
RESOURCES - Great Site labeled "All About Fractions" -
at the top of the "links" list. Great practice with fractions!
Also
- Tumblebooks. Terrific site for reading practice at levels K-8.
Includes many books which also have AR tests in our library. Other
fun activities to do with the books also. Check it out!
