Hello and Welcome To Our Classroom Website!

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Mike Collins. I earned a Bachelor's Degree from Central Washington University in 1987 and a Master's Degree in Education focusing on Integrating Technology into the Classroom in September of 2005. I have been teaching for twenty-one years, eighteen of them have been for College Place Public Schools. I have also coached basketball, baseball, softball, and track for the district.

My wife Sheri works at Wa-Hi. My daughter Ashley is a senior at Central Washington University majoring in pre-pharmacy. My youngest daughter Amy is a junior at Wa-Hi who plays volleyball, softball, and works at Arby's after school.

My Mission

It is my mission as an educator to create a desirable learning environment in my classroom. While showing my students that I care and am concerned about them and their education, I will also set realistically high expectations of effort and behavior. I will use instructional time efficiently, providing adequate opportunities for my students to play an active role in their own education. In my thoughts and actions I will make every effort to motivate each child to fulfill their full potential.
