Registration Currently Open for Incoming Kindergarten, 6th Graders & 9th Graders

Parents of incoming students who will be attending kindergarten, 6th grade or 9th grade in the 2017-2018 school year can now register their student(s). If your student is new to CPPS, please visit your child’s school to fill out the paperwork to obtain your User Name and Password for Skyward Family Access. You will need to bring proof of residency to begin this process, as state law requires that a student reside within the District boundaries and be able to prove residency or have been approved for a district transfer in order to enroll in school.

Residency is defined as the address where a student spends the night a minimum of 4 nights out of the week. To establish a student's residence, the parent/legal guardian must supply documentation for proof of address. This can be in the form of a utility bill, property tax bill or government correspondence.

If your student is continuing on in the District, you can use your current Username and Password to log into Skyward and register your child. Make sure you are registering for 2017-2018.

The process of registering your child online takes approximately 20 minutes or less and is a very easy. The process is also set up with Google Translate so you can register in any language. Please have the following information at your fingertips to make registering fast and easy.  And as always, please contact your student’s school for any questions you may have. If you do not have access to a computer at home, please come to your student’s school and use the community computers.

1) Two-Three Emergency contacts with phone numbers

2) Your student’s doctor, dentist and hospital names

3) Your student’s insurance carrier and group number

4) Any health information and medications your child takes

5) Decision on transportation services from CPPS

Please note, students will not receive a classroom placement or school schedule without the completion of Online Registration.
